This is so trite…but the jouney of a thousand miles begins with that first step and this applies to your marketing too.
Too many times people get caught up in ‘what should I do’ and while waiting on the answer to this question they unfortunately do nothing.
‘Nothing’ then becomes the numbing agent that allows you to not feel the pain of doing ‘nothing’….and right before your eyes ‘nothing’ multiplies. ‘Nothing’ compounds faster than a double digit interest credit card.
Billy Preston’s old song takes life and you then realize that ‘Nothin from Nothin leaves Nothin’.
Now here’s an irony… just based on the fact that this is the path that MOST people take that should clue you in on the fact that to NOT be like most people you should do the exact opposite!
Key word in previous sentence…..DO!
So it does not matter as much WHAT you do as much as the fact that you are ‘DOING’ a DO (Not to be mistaken for ‘doing THE do’
…sorry…couldn’t resist…it was a ‘slow pitch underhand softball coming right accross the plate so I had to take a swing…okay maybe bad taste…but hey…it’s still early in the year….i’ll get better
)
So at the beginning of the year and ALL through the year you MUST not get caught in this trap……’Nothin’…..because oft times you are better off doing something slightly wrong or even completely wrong verses the dreadful ‘nothin’.
Zig Ziglar is famous for a lot of different sayings…but the one I like a lot -and I am paraphrasing…. ‘you have to be willing to do something poorly first before you can learn to do it well’….and that is basically what I am saying….Take the step…EVEN if it is done poorly….once again…DO SOMETHING!!!
Take a step…do it now!
